Two Owls Collect just wants to have fun and make people smile. As a "thank you" for allowing me to continue on this smile quest, we want to give back to our community. 25% of all stationery profits (two owls collect catalogue fine stationery and event stationery) will be donated to support programs and non-profit organizations that focus on helping children and/or seniors.
Brina L Schenk - owner and designer - quick facts:
• born in “The Shwa” (aka Oshawa,) Ontario, Canada.
• raised by Helen and Bill Schenk and admired her older brothers Dwight and Trevor.
• Brina carries around an Advertising and Graphic Design Diploma in her back pocket. She's been graphically designing and illustrating for over 10 years now. wowzers.
• resides in Fernie, British Columbia, Canada with the unforgettable Rodney Brink (aka the chip guy) and previously, Vancouver and Victoria.
• found out she was a painter - www.brinaschenk.blogspot.com. "Push" was accepted in the Fernie Arts Banner Project for 2009 and "Rebirth" was accepted in 2010. You can see her work at The Old Elevator Restaurant or Livery Home in Fernie, BC.
• created illustrations for RealWeddings Magazine and Modern Dog Magazine.
• has been employed as a mould factory janitor, forklift driver, commercial painter, and at lululemon, counter, picker and data enterer at the warehouse, as well as, graphic designer for the training department at the head office.
• in 2003, Albertine De Leon and Brina Schenk started a company called Blue Skies and Daisies Weddings. For 6 years BSD created modern, clean and cool wedding invitations and stationery for almost 400 couples around the world.
• was one of four who starred in episode 3 "Canoeing Pitt Lake" of Wild At Heart for The Knowledge Network. A BC documentary that forced city folk into a world of adventure. All episodes were filmed at various British Columbia parks.
• created and published an event planning guide for Fernie called Small Town Social. The whole STS project includes a soft cover book about Fernie and a frequently updated blog, which includes local gift ideas, events, videos, an original graphic novel set in Fernie, upcoming concerts, volunteer opportunities and so much more. It's fun!
• during the 2009/10 winter season, Brina and her brother Dwight recorded a few songs on a laptop and called it Bright West. They even filmed a video in Fernie for their hit song "Wait for the boat." |

Two Owls Collect, run by Brina Schenk, was established in early 2009, is a home-based business in West Fernie, open Monday to Friday. All meetings are by appointment only.
Just a heads up! At the moment I'm only taking on jobs that don't need to be done asap. Our little girl, Phoenix, was born recently and I'm dedicating most of my hours to her.
