| Too often I only say thank you when good things happen but what about when bad things happen!? I'd like to take a moment to appreciate and be thankful for negative experiences, waste of times, unwanted stress, impatience, misunderstandings, ill communication, pesterings, poor jokes, mistakes, sleepless nights - without any of these things, how would we learn and grow? How boring life would be! |

Small Town Social - An Event Planning Guide, in a soft cover book, is now available. It's purpose is to support anyone planning an event, large or small, in Fernie BC (and the surrounding area.) An "event" could be anything from a wedding, corporate retreat, family reunion, birthday, anniversary, baby shower or any other cause for celebration.
Check out the frequently updated and always entertaining Small Town Social blog, with local gift ideas, videos, upcoming concerts and shows and, possibly, a different view of this little mountain town: www.smalltownsocial.wordpress.com

Two Owls Collect has launched the blue bin notebook project. I started doing it for myself, when Two Owls Collect opened early 2009, because I go through SO much paper and it felt like a huge waste. Why waste when you can reuse?!
Blue Bin Notebooks make use of your recycled, printed on one side paper scraps and turn them into notebooks or notepads. Just $5/book or pad (about 50-75 pages.)
You supply the recycled paper, I'll supply the cover (if needed) and binding equipment! Go team.
There are also already made blue bin notebooks, using 100% PC paper and reusable covers. To find out more, go to fine stationery. They're super cool! |
